January Favourites | 2014

Hey lovely people!

It's the start of a new month, I have broken pretty much all of my new years resoultions tbh but I'm not going to give up! There are still just under 11 months of the year left to fufill them....

Anyway, today's post is my January Favourites! This month I have a mixture of products and just general things that I have loved and would love to share with you lovely people of the internet. Enough rambling Meg, let's crack on with this extra-long post!

Pretty Little Liars seasons 1 & 2

I recieved season 1 as a christmas present from my lovely parents, as I had wanted to venture out for a new TV show to watch and I heard so many good things about it, that I just had to see what the fuss was about! I can honestly say, this is my favourite TV show ever! I find it so interesting, my last blog post talks about what its about so I won't leave you too bored because I'm sure most of you should already know all about this amazing programme! If you haven't already seen this, what you waiting for?! Go on Megashare.sh and watch the whole season for free!

Flappy Bird App

I'm sure everyone has heard about this particular app, it is the number 1 free app in the app store at the moment! I am literally on this game all the time, trying to beat my highscore which is actually currently on 8, as this photo was taken a few days ago on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It is very addicting and frustrating especially them stupid poles because I manage to get hit very early on - my friend at school has over 200 as his highscore, that makes me look like a total FAIL. haaa I do anyway.

Garnier Fructis Strength & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner

These smell so heavenly, and this is such a good reliable product. It does exactly what it says on the front - strenghtens and shines my hair, it leaves it feeling very soft and smooth and smells like grapefruit which is very handy to attract the opposite sex! *joke* I dont think its that expensive either... around the £2.99 mark, so go grab your mitts on these!

Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner & Seventeen Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil

My two companion beauty products of the month. I purchased the Collection Eyeliner at the start of the month as my other eyeliner from AVON had run out. *first world problem for girls* I saw this at the counter and at only £4 I decided to buy it as I had heard one of my fave instagrammers rave about how good it was so why not? It is literally amazing. I am crap at eyeliner, and this is such an easy-to-use eyeliner with a great applicator, extra long lasting colour and it doesn't flake away which is one of the main problems with eyeliner I use. The brow pencil was a gamble because it's quite a dark colour, I normally use a blonde one. Honestly though, I'm so glad I tried this colour because it suits my eyebrows much better and they make them look so much nicer than they used to look - I used to have none, the hairs were so blonde you could hardly see them and I looked like a freak tbh.

Daisy Jumper

I have lived in this jumper throughout the cold days. I also got this at christmas, and I love this jumper so much it is perfect for wearing when your out and about and also for lounging around at home. I pair this snazzy jumper with jeggings, comfy socks, black/brown boots and a statement necklace. My mother says she bought this in a little shop near where I live so I can't say where its from, but I'm sure you can find a similar one in high street stores like Topshop and maybe in Primark?...

Company Nail Varnish - Burgundy

It's a nail varnish so I won't ramble about it for too long. I really love the burgundy colour, I have a few tops in the same shade and a jacket in the colour so I have spent many happy days matching my outfit with the nail varnish. It came free in Company January issue, and it is unbelievably great. Usually freebies aren't that good, but this lasts ages on my nails and doens't chip easily and cmon the colour is beauts!

Shout Magazine

This was my childhood magazine, even though its a teen mag. I hadn't bought this magazine in like a year because I had moved onto Company, but I couldn't resist in buying this months mag because it was crammed with some amazing peeps, including megastar Lorde, the Vamps and one of my favourite YouTubers - Tanya Burr! It was £3.99 but it also came with a bunch of cute freebies and I'll definately be purchasing next months issue because reading it for the first time in forever, made me want it even more.

Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale

My favourite book of the month. I bought this at a bargain of £2.99 on eBay, and I really reccommend any avid readers to buy this book because it is very hooking and a very interesting read.

Blurb:
How can you face your future when your past it a lie? When Rosie Kenning's mother, Trudie, dies from Huntingdon's disease, her whole world falls apart. Not only does Rosie desperately miss her mum, but now she has to face the fact that she could have inherited the fatal illness herself. Until she discovers that Trudie wasn't her biological mother at all ...Rosie is stunned. Can this be true? Is she grieving for a mother who wasn't even hers to lose? And if Trudie wasn't her mother, who is? But as Rosie delves into her past to discover who she really is, she is faced with a heart-breaking dilemma - to continue living a lie, or to reveal a truth that will shatter the lives of everyone around her...

has it hooked you..?! If yes there is only one way to find out - buy and read this book!

Albums of the month:
Ellie Goulding Halcyon Days
Little Mix Salute
JLS Goodbye The Greatest Hits

I listen to music 24/7. I am constantly on the hunt for new artists to listen to, as I always listen to the same songs on repeat until I hate it (this only applies to certain songs that I could write a whole post on!). Ellie Goulding is a stunning artist with a stunning and beautiful voice so her latest album Halcyon Days is worth listening too - all the songs are amazing! Little Mix's latest album is also really great, its alot different from the first and worth checking out also. Finally, the best boyband that has ever been on Earth; JLS's latest album full of the best songs they have ever recorded all on one album. One word to describe it - perfection.

So thats my favourites of the month! Sorry if this wasn't as interesting because it's not full off the same old products that you always see in favourites, its my personal favourites and tbh I hate following the crowds - I'm not a sheep!
