Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review ♡
As the summer months are approaching at an super fast rate, I thought that today I would post a review on one of my favourite foundations at the moment which is the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the shade 100 Ivory.
this is the foundation, along with the brush I use to apply which is a dupe of the Real Techniques foundation brush.
GOOD POINTS: I think this foundation is overall a really good foundation! It gives a good amount of coverage - not too much that it clearly looks like you have foundation on, but not too little that it doesn't do the covering up very well which is what foundations are pretty much used for. It completely conceals my imperfections, blends well with a good brush and feels nice on the skin when applied. I always find with bad foundations, that it feels too heavy on the skin and makes you break out with spots. but this one is the complete opposite. It feels fresh on the skin when applied, and it lasts for a good amount of time but this can vary from person to person - for me it lasted a good 5 ish hours but it always depends on how much you apply as I don't like having too much on my skin.
HONEST BAD POINTS OF THIS FOUNDATION: The name itself 'Match Perfection' can be a bit misleading, as I tried the shade 100 Ivory in the shops, it suited my colour and I bought it and it looks slighly orange on me however it might have been due to the old makeup foundation brush I used to use which was utter rubbish and probaly the reason why I looked that way and now I have no problems with it, even though it is slightly dark, I'm sure the lighter shade will suit me which will be the foundation I will buy when this shade runs out!
Overall it was a nice foundation for the price I payed which was £5 on offer a while ago (RRP £6.99).
I would recommend you to buy this foundation if you want a medium coverage, long-ish lasting and inexpensive foundation!
an awful photo of me with the foundation on (couldn't find a better photo than this, so just laugh at my ugly face aha!)
Here are some of the swatches of the foundation of each colour so you can see which one matches you best
